Title: 4k-usability: new ARX or new file necessary?
Post by: Peter2 on June 26, 2018, 07:58:32 AM
I got a report that under 4k a part of a dialogue is too small (text in dialogue caption is bigger than in dialogue). The current ARX 9.0.... is installed.

Is it enough to use the current ARX or is is necessary to save the ODCL with current Studio?

Thanks

Peter

For dialogs and controls it is enough to run the 9.0 runtime, however automatic font scaling also depends on the font scaling setting for the font.

You mean the settings in "Windows", not in ODCL?

No, I mean the OpenDCL font property. When setting font properties via the font property page, the two settings are called 'Font Size Scaled to Monitor' (absolute size, does not auto-scale) and 'Font Size in Pixels' (relative size, does auto-scale).
