Title: getting errors on acad open, saying can't find language pack for English
Post by: jmaeding on March 13, 2008, 11:30:00 AM
I don't use the C:\Program Files\Common Files\ setup, I copy the runtimes into another folder in my support paths.
In the past, I only needed the opendcl.17.arx.
Do I now need to copy other files?  It would seem so :)
thanks

Yes you need to also copy the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\OpenDCL\ENU\Runtime.Res.dll" for English or what ever language version you installed.

also, the help file is not found when run from the editor.
I tried changing the startin folder of the shortcut I use, but no luck.
It looks like the addition of the ENU folder needs to be incorporated to the editor, thx

oh, classic.
Turns out the Runtime.Res.dll must be located in an ENU folder under the location where the arx is found.
Its the old, find one and traverse to the other trick, not bad.
The help file is still misbehaving though, minor...

James, I can't tell for sure, are you still having trouble with the runtime or did you get it sorted out? I could reproduce the help file bug in studio, and I'll get that fixed.

You need to have a form open for the help file to load. Until Owen fixes it. :)
