There is no way to know the cause without creating a simple reproducible case and investigating it. I suggest to test with a simple dialog containing only copies of one type of control. If the problem does not reproduce, try other controls until the particular control (or controls) is identified. If it happens with any control type, then it could be a memory leak, or just heap fragmentation causing Windows to start paging to disk. There is no way to guess, it has to be investigated.

Runtime/AutoLISP / OpenDCL MEMORY MANAGEMENT ?
Last post by domenicomaria - May 16, 2024, 08:21:21 AM
I'm writing a fairly complex lisp (which uses OpenDCL) and the ODCL file is very rich in controls.

And I'm testing this software and so I show and then close the ODCL dialog many times.

The first few times everything is fine, i.e. I wait 1 second from the command until the dialogue is shown.

But by repeating this operation many times, many dozens of times,
the time between the command I enter in the Acad command line
and when the ODCL dialog is shown ALWAYS INCREASES.

So much so that sometimes I have to wait up to 20 seconds before the dialogue is shown.

Each time the dialogue is reloaded:
(dcl-project-load #ddiim-prj t)

And I think it's an OpenDCL MEMORY MANAGEMENT problem

It's possible ?

Quote from: donnieworld on April 29, 2024, 10:28:19 PM... searched for OPENDCL@MANUSOFT.COM to add as a recipient on WISE ... no results. I am searching from Thailand if that has any bearing?
I've noticed that WISE help on adding a recipient with just an email address is not up to date and the website could be more intuitive...

You should be able to send from Thailand. Assuming you're sending THB, select USD for the recipient.

  • Click the green Continue button.
  • Click Enter bank details button on the next page.
  • Click the Someone else button
  • Deselect the I know their bank details check box
  • and enter Email address, Name and Language
  • Click Confirm button...

Owen will be notified - I'm not sure if a WISE account was previously set up but if so it should be easier for the transfer to take place. I checked my earlier transfer which was to support@manusoft.com

Update: the above works for my business account - I received the following from WISE in regard to a personal account:

Here's how to send money securely with a link:
  • Go to your Balance and click Send
  • Select the amount and currency and click on Continue
  • On the bottom of the next page, select Share a payment link
  • Check the transfer details and click on Confirm and send
  • Click on Copy link to copy it to your dashboard
Share it with your recipient via email, direct message or any way you like
When your recipient clicks on the link, they'll be asked for an email and a password to secure their information
They'll need to enter their bank account details and click on Claim

Once they click on Claim, the money is on its way to their bank account.

Runtime/AutoLISP / HOW? My Tooltip
Last post by donnieworld - April 29, 2024, 10:34:52 PM
I am thinking about custom messaging within BricsCAD. I want it to behave similar to tooltips as in a modeless dialog that appears on mouseover for an entity.

I have no idea how to have a dialog hide and show on mouseover or a lisp routine launch on mouseover ...

any thoughts are welcome

I don't remember which email address DW used, but likely opendcl@manusoft.com.
