Good Luck
First concept of a new logo for OpenDCL. The idea was to create a simple, yet reconizable image at any size.

Here is the original classic logo with an updated 3D look. There are some tweeks that still need to happen, such as white boxex at the scroll or popdown.

Something about this simple logo from the last go around, I still like. So I thought I would upload it one more time.

Here's my attempt. Note sure I like the "ODCL"

2nd. attempt. changed "ODCL" to "OpenDCL" & tried a different pencil location.

Another concept... This one is based on building blocks of programming. Once again, trying to create a simple yet recognizable icon.

Barry, how does it look with a smaller pencil ? ie; so that the form is larger in the icon boundary.

Thx to Kerry suggestion, here's my 3rd. entry. I think I like it best so far.

Entry #4 is a Vista-fied version

Keeping with the KISS idea (Keep It Simple Stupid), I've come up with this colorful guy...
2 variations here, White text & Gray text.

Maybe one more: a little more complex;

The dialog icon isn't as nice:

[Sorry JB, I was trying to split this post into 4 separate posts & I screwed it up. So I put it all back together here. BazzaCAD, Barry]

I like it.. Looks kinda like a crosshair cursor.
I've got one more idea I would like to submit... What time is the cut off today? I won't get to it for another 10 hours.
No problem Barry, I realized after the fact that each entry was supposed to be a seperate post . . . sorry.
I guess I never said a time, oops :)
So I'll give you tell the end of the day, midnight.
Here is a quick one...

Another simple, easy to reconize logo concept. The sphere could be any color. Also there could be modifications to the text, but I was looking for something different.
Using the same sphere concept with Open DCL.

With time running out, I put together a simplified version of the classic logo in 3D. This could be expanded to look like a XP or Vista dialog.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to submit a logo design. We'll get voting started shortly.
