Title: OpenDCL for Linux?
Post by: hdLinux on January 06, 2010, 11:51:10 PM
Hi,
I'm new here, so I may have missed something about this.  (A search on linux revealed nothing...)
I believe Bricscad, which will be supported in OpenDCL 6, are looking at/near to finalising a linux port.
Will OpenDCL work on linux?
Are there any plans to do this?

Thanks for any response
Hugh

Hi, hdLinux, welcome to this forum.
OpenDCL Runtime extends a CAD-platform to allow AutoLisp programs show customized Windows forms for userinterface.
There is at least one requirement for OpenDCL Runtime: the CAD-platform. I cannot reckon the manpower to adapt OpenDCL Runtime to Linux.
As long there is no AutoCAD or BricsCAD running on Linux, there will be no chance for us to try to adapt.

I don't foresee an attempt at a linux port any time soon, but anything is possible in the future.
