I tried uninstalling the program, but it fails. How do I get rid of it cleanly, so I can re-install the later one. I had installed it in the default install folder (C:\Program Files\OpenDCL Studio), except that I put a "-5" in the folder name (C:\Program Files\OpenDCL Studio-5), so I could tell which one I've installed and which one I'm using.
But now, that I have .7, I would like to use it. However, I'm not able to install .7, nor am I able to un-install .6.
Even the Windows Cleanup Utilitiy (register cleaner) did not get rid of it.
What to do?
Thanks,
Paul G
What happens when you try to install Beta 7? What error messages do you receive?
Good news, I was able to install .7, which I will use for now on.
I still have .6, which someday I might want to uninstall. However, would it be safe just to delete the .6 folder and files manually? I looked in the add/remove programs and it only displays the one install (.7). That's why I think just deleting them would be good enough.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Paul
Yes, if you have successfully installed a later version, it's safe to just delete the orphaned files manually.
