Palette with thumbnail view - displayed columns and rows

For example, if I set the Windows Explorer to display "thumbnails", the size of the thumbnails is fixed. When I enlarge or decrease the size of the Explorer window, then the number of displayed thumbnails (number of rows and number of columns) is modified, depending on the size of the window.

I want to make a palette with the same behaviour - what are the "keywords" that I have to search (what's the basic way) for to create a palette with that behaviour?

The Windows Explorer file pane uses the same control as the OpenDCL List View control.

Thanks, but what's about handling of a group of "DWGView" or "Slides"? Seem to be rather complex ....
