When does compatibility of dialog files change between versions?

With each new version of acad, I typically get the latest ODCL studio/runtimes and install.
The trick with that is if I discover bugs, can I revert to an old version and the studio still read the dialog files?

I'm not going way back in versions, but its very tricky to try to figure this question out by hand by experimenting.
If things do not totally fail, small failures are hard to catch.
I guess it would be good to throw a post up if the format changes, then I can just search the forum for those posts.
Maybe its there already? Pls point me to it.

Format will only change between major versions. It actually hasn't changed for several versions now.
